What flavour will combine well with chocolate, vanilla and mango?
I am making a three tiered cake and my hope is that you could eat adjacent layers together.
Bottom layer :
Cake flavour = chocolate
Icing flavour ideas = espresso, chocolate, caramel…
Middle layer :
Cake flavour = vanilla
Icing flavour ideas = citrus, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon…
Top layer :
Cake flavour = mango
Icing flavour ideas = cinnamon…
I’m hoping that you might be able to combine the mango & cinnamon with vanilla & lemon, or chocolate & espresso with vanilla & vanilla
I need the icing of the vanilla layer to combine well with both the chocolate and mango flavours - any ideas?
You are in danger of spoiling what you are creating by having a conflict of flavours.
Do the three flavours and combine the layers with Plain Icing or Whipped cream. DON’T add another flavour.The icing could be flavoured with the same flavour as the tier.

I agree with Cynthia that you are in danger of having too many flavors going on. I am not sure I would use cinnamon icing on mango cake. One theory of flavor is that what grows together goes together so coconut might work.

Realism in the movie 'X-men Origins: Wolverine"?
As most of us know that ‘Wolverine’ can heal himself because he’s a mutant… but when Stryker shot him in the head I found it rather unrealistic to lose all of his memory. I’ve studied the brain as I am in medical classes and it doesn’t seem to add up at all of his memory was in those certain spots. In earlier movies he remembers things through ‘flashbacks’ or dreams but it’s only a small amount.
– What I also found odd is that if this is accurate then how was me not shot in the head in any one of the wars. This should cause the same effect
By the way — to one of the answerer’s the metal was Adamantium and I don’t think it would matter since a normal bullet would go clean through his head.
And when I say small amount I mean 225 years of information
I do realize this is a movie (I don’t really care how strong the actual bullet is)… it’s the fact that he lost his memories
It wasn’t a well made movie. Plot holes were bound to occur.

he may have been shot in another war, but not with a bullet of that super hard metal, i cant remember what is called. also, i think the point is that the new brain tissue that grows back has no memory in it, but not ALL of his brain tissue is destroyed, which is why he gets bits and pieces of flashbacks.

Well he was shot by an adamantium bullet, the same indestructible metal ‘inserted in his body. Though what I find it odd is that, adamantium is suppose to be indestructible, then Wolverine’s brain should still have that adamatium bullet. Well, it’s only a movie afterall.
It was the character Stryker who said that adamantium bullets will erase Wolverine’s memory. That’s how movies goes, full of inconsistencies. They would always come up with an impossible scenario.

Not usually. However, there is a shuttle service, independent of the hotels, that runs services to the entire strip. The taxicab is relatively inexpensive.

If I were you, I would get online and book there. Do some research about different hotels based on location and price. Then call them, or research their site to see if they offer the services that you like. (free shuttle) You don’t want to be suprised when you get there, know your facts ahead of time, also, some hotels give you cash back for booking online…also you could go to AAA and have them help you. My friend L got told by his girlfriend that our friend M is being cheated on by his girlfriend.

I would stay out of it, if anything happens that is bad the blame may fall on you, if they break up, although they are cheating they could still blame you for stirring it. And at the end of the day, without proof your friend M may not believe you, and who is to say its true? Lots of harmless things can get twisted by others when other people get involved. Simply having a conversation with someone can be twisted by others and passed along with the end result being you had a conversation then took them to your flat and had sex with them, honest to god it happens!! So i would recommend staying out of it. Things will be sorted, one way or another!

Why is finding good people to date in this new place so difficult?
After returning from a party, I am very frustrated, so please, use Yahoo to vent and tell me why I’m wrong or right. Are these qualities too much to ask for?
1. Physical Fitness / Attraction - so beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but YOU should at least be physically fit. e.g. running a mile in ~10 min, play some sports, not be overweight.
2. Smart - just some real stupid ppl out there. so here’s how i rule them out. if you went to a good univeristy and are onto a respected profession (doctor, engineer, lawyer), then yes, you are smart. if you are an artist, hair stylist, musician, secretary…nooooooo i’m not going to be your sugar mommy/daddy. OK?
3. open minded / charismatic - it’s OK if you’re a bit of a country bumpkin, or from the city, or whatever! just be a *bit* well-travelled, and not just "ugh…brain is not here" for quick conversations!!
OK, so at minimum….(a) physically fit (b) intelligent (c) charismatic.
are those 3 things so DIFFICULT to achieve?? GAWD.

boyfriend ignoring me, pretends fight never happened, never apologizes?
My boyfriend of over a year goes to a school 6 hours from I. We use skype every day and are still close. But after bringing up his 1.0 and having an argument because he doesn’t care if he flunks out because he can become a janitor, i hung up after he had pushed the webcam away and was out of view. He didn’t talk to me for a day after that, because i hung up on him. Every time threes an issue he ignores me or puts me down, then expects me to be over it when he is and never speak of it again. This isn’t how you work through something, by pretending it never happened. my feelings are really hurt and he wants to talk to me today, and he isn’t going to apologize even though I did, he is just going to pretend nothing happened and if i bring it up get angry. I’m supposed to be visiting him next week but now i cant eat or sleep i’m so full of sadness. I can’t tell him because he’ll be mad, what do i do?

Am I being unreasonable/ rude?
I live with my boyfriend, and have lived with him for about a year and a half. Recently we moved from our apartment into his Great Grandmother’s home that she lived in for about 63 years. They didn’t know we lived together until we moved, and they still don’t know that we lived together at the apartment. Anyways, my boyfriend’s Great Grandma didn’t die, she went to a home, and we decided to rent the house since it was cheaper than our apartment and we could get a dog. Before we moved in, we had to clean the place up as she was blind and couldn’t see much. She also had a cat that peed on the floor so bad we had to rip the carpet up out of the dining room. We did various things to the house to improve the looks, as well as the value. One of the things that we weren’t allowed to do was replacing the counter top, as my boyfriend’s great grandpa was the one who put it in. My boyfriend’s grandma (not great grandma) was the one who wouldn’t let us do it, and started crying because I asked. I really was thinking of her as well as my own taste because the 35 year old counter top is not a selling point of the house and to replace it would bring more money when they sell it. I didn’t know what to do, other than to leave the counter top alone. She also wouldn’t give anything to a secondhand store when moving everything out, expecting me to want everything because it was already there. There were many times when she would cry in this process (remember, her mother’s not dead).
About 2 weeks ago, my boyfriend’s Great Uncle died. They can’t bury him until spring when the ground thaws, so they just had a memorial service. My boyfriend worked that night, so I felt almost like it was my place to go for the both of us. I didn’t go because I knew that my boyfriend’s grandma would be there, and the tears would be falling. It makes me extremely uncomfortable when she cries. My family sees funerals as get-togethers, we don’t stay in the past, we just joke around and enjoy eachother’s company. I feel like I should have gone, but I also think I would have felt extremely out of place.
Am I being rude to my boyfriend’s family if I don’t want to keep some of his great-grandma’s things and by not attending his uncle’s memorial? Does anyone have any advice about how to deal with uncomfortable situations like this?

No I don’t think you are being rude. I can see how this is touchy. My bfs parents wanted us to take a lot of their old furniture (not really the same scenario) but it was gross and I wanted to pic out stuff to fit my taste. You need to tell them politely that you don’t have room for the furniture, maybe suggest helping them sell it on Craigslist. Also, I think your BF should be the one to approach them about it, not you. Tell him it is awkward and see if he can talk to them since they are his family.

Rude? Probably not. Out of line, Most likely. You are, as loved by your boyfriend, as you are, still just his girlfriend. These people, not knowing that you two have been living together for a year, see you as a fling. Just a girl that their boy is messing his life up with. Remember, they are from a different generation. One in which people got married, then moved in together. You, have made no commitment to their family, by marrying the guy, and as such, you are still an outsider in the decision making process.
Being unmarried, you have no stake in the place. You have no legal rights to any of it, and your ideas are of no importance to them. If you were his wife, they would hope for the two of you to be together forever, and as such, plan for the future of the house, as someone who could possibly inherit it someday.
If they want it kept as a shrine to the grandparents, it is their right. You should feel lucky to have a place to stay, for the year or two more that the two of you will probably be together.
Make a commitment. Get married, Buy the house with money you both share, and then do with it what you will.
