IMDB rating: 5.80 Plot: Teenager Will Burton lives in his head, and his head is filled with music. When his mother, Karen Burton, gets a new job in New Jersey, Will starts his junior year at a new school only to find the old cliques still apply, but rock-n-roll rules the scene. Perpetually a misfit, Will strikes up a friendship with like-minded outsider Sa5m (the 5 is silent). They are both surprised when the school’s “it” girl, Charlotte recruits Will to help assemble a band to compete in “Bandslam,” a battle of the bands that is “Texas High School Football BIG.” Charlotte’s ex-boyfriend Ben Wheatly is poised to win with his band Glory Dogs - Springsteen wannabes down to their hats. For the first time in his life, Will finds he is uniquely suited to not only participate in something, but to truly make a difference. |

Please rate and leave opinion?
i’m watching you, watching me;
seeing you, seeing me.
what’s this i feel?
is it mutual, almost palpable?
you try and get closer,
can’t help but push you away.
those other girls crave,
want the bright lights.
i hate to have to say this,
it almost hurts like a steak knife to the heart.
it’s tough to admit it,
you can’t tell a soul.
is this thought impure,
what would God think?
you whisper back,
are you just be saying this for my sake?
what’s this i feel?
is it mutual, almost palpable?
i think i’ve found an answer,
a simple four letter word.
no, not what you think,
must i say it, can’t you feel it?
simply, possibly, could
this be what i feel?
yes, let me spell it out,
L-U-S-T.
thoughts, comments, all accepted.
and a possible title?
ii thiink thiis iis really good..
publiish?

Get rid of the steak, in "it almost hurts like a steak knife to the heart."
just make it "it almost hurts like a knife to the heart."
that looks and sounds better to me.
but i really like it!
i think you should name it palpable.

"i think i’ve found an answer,

no, not what you think,

I like this a lot! It makes me feel… wow~
though… lust may not seem like the correct word. Can someone feel lust?
A possible title… I would like "The Four Letter-ed Word" It would lead people to read it, and think the word is love, but its not!
Another could be… "The L Word" meaning about the same…
"Palpable" could work too.

How do you cancel a quest on Star Wars Galaxies?
I know that when you look in your journal, some quests have the option to ‘delete quest’ but others don’t. I wanted to know how to get rid of the quests that don’t have the option to delete them, how do you cancel them?
any help ,much appreciated.
Ignore the other guy he’s just posting spam, I’m afraid there is no way to cancel those types of quests.

Hobgoblins 2
March 12, 2010
|
IMDB rating: 3.30 Plot: This is the long awaited part 2 for writer/Director Rick Sloane’s campy cult classic Hobgoblins shot in 1987. Old man McCreedy is locked away in a mental hospital when Kevin and his friends are revisited by the nasty creatures. Hobgoblins 2 is done in the style of Grindhouse, it was made to look like a 1980s cheesy horror film, down to having its own fake trailers included. |

My worst rated movies?
Usually I don’t tend to be too harsh on any movie I’ve seen. So, the worst I’ve gone is giving a 3/10! Here are some of ‘em which I gave a 3 or a 4 -
Evil Bong II: King Bong (2009)
Hobgoblins 2 (2009)
Queen Cobra (2007)
Cope (2007)
Crimson Force (2005)
Dus (Hindi, 2005)
Surf School (2006)
How about you?
Regards,
Manoj
Keeping in mind that I typically like campy B films, there are few movies that get truly bad rating from me, but here are some I could not watch again:
Monster Island
Freddy Got Fingered - this movie made me sad and embarrassed for the cast
Free Wily 2
The Road to Wellville - I actually paid to see this in a theater!
Keane - hated this
The Flintstones - I loved the cartoon, this was complete sh*t
Oh I have a question, did you like Hobgoblins (the 1st one)? it’s on my list of B films to watch, I was looking forward to it.
I liked Jack Frost, Evil Toons and The Gingerdead Man if you need a reference point for crap movies I like.

Rules of Attraction, The
March 12, 2010
|
IMDB rating: 6.60 Plot: Camden College. Sean Bateman (James Van Der Beek) is the younger brother of depraved Wall Street broker Patrick Bateman. He’s also a drug dealer who owes a lot of money to “fellow” dealer Rupert Guest (Clifton Collins, Jr.), as well as a well-known womanizer, for he sleeps with nearly half of the female population on campus. Lauren Hynde (Shannyn Sossamon) is, technically, a virgin. She’s saving herself for her shallow boyfriend, Victor Johnson (Kip Pardue), who’s left the States to backpack across Europe. Her slutty roommate, Lara (Jessica Biel), has the hots for Victor as well. Paul Denton (Ian Somerhalder), who used to date Lauren, is openly bisexual and attracted to Mitchell Allen (Thomas Ian Nicholas), who’s dating Candice (Clare Kramer) to prove to Paul that he’s not gay. Sean loves Lauren. Paul loves Sean. And Lauren may love Sean. |

Why is finding good people to date in this new place so difficult?
After returning from a party, I am very frustrated, so please, use Yahoo to vent and tell me why I’m wrong or right. Are these qualities too much to ask for?
1. Physical Fitness / Attraction - so beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but YOU should at least be physically fit. e.g. running a mile in ~10 min, play some sports, not be overweight.
2. Smart - just some real stupid ppl out there. so here’s how i rule them out. if you went to a good univeristy and are onto a respected profession (doctor, engineer, lawyer), then yes, you are smart. if you are an artist, hair stylist, musician, secretary…nooooooo i’m not going to be your sugar mommy/daddy. OK?
3. open minded / charismatic - it’s OK if you’re a bit of a country bumpkin, or from the city, or whatever! just be a *bit* well-travelled, and not just "ugh…brain is not here" for quick conversations!!
OK, so at minimum….(a) physically fit (b) intelligent (c) charismatic.
are those 3 things so DIFFICULT to achieve?? GAWD.
yeah, ok by 2. smart is the following:
<subject is Hong Kong>
girl/guy says, "oh yeah, those people in Japan"
OMG - how stupid are you!? that’s like saying people from South America are from Mexico. gawd!
i really don’t mean any offense by this, but you sound like kind of a snob, just because someone didn’t go to an ivy league school and actually has to work for a living, it doesn’t mean that they aren’t smart or that you’re going to have to support them. but as for your three qualities no they are not that hard to find. it just seems like maybe your standards are a little TOO high. and i’m not saying that you should just give up on your standards, just that maybe you shouldn’t be so quick to judge someone before you get to know more about them. otherwise you could overlook someone with really great relationship potential.
EDIT: OK yeah that person would be retarded lol. just out of curiosity what would your opinion on Hong Kong be? do you believe that they should be independent from China?

Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
March 11, 2010
|
IMDB rating: 8.00 Plot: It’s ‘vege-mania’ in Wallace and Gromit’s neighborhood, and our two enterprising chums are cashing in with their humane pest-control outfit, “Anti-Pesto.” With only days to go before the annual Giant Vegetable Competition, business is booming, but Wallace & Gromit are finding out that running a “humane” pest control outfit has its drawbacks as their West Wallaby Street home fills to the brim with captive rabbits. Suddenly, a huge, mysterious, veg-ravaging “beast” begins attacking the town’s sacred vegetable plots at night, and the competition hostess, Lady Tottington, commissions Anti-Pesto to catch it and save the day. Lying in wait, however, is Lady Tottington’s snobby suitor, Victor Quartermaine, who’d rather shoot the beast and secure the position of local hero-not to mention Lady Tottingon’s hand in marriage. With the fate of the competition in the balance, Lady Tottington is eventually forced to allow Victor to hunt down the vegetable chomping marauder. Little does she know that Victor’s real intent could have dire consequences for her …and our two heroes. |

Is the film Who framed Roger Rabbit suitable for children?
My little cousins will have a sleepover this friday and they picked Who framed Roger Rabbit to watch and by being a chaperone to their sleepover, I wonder if this "PG" rated film is really suitable for children. I’m worried for all the drinking, smoking and Jessica Rabbit in this film.
Though Roger Rabbit is one of my fave movie!
I think it is suitable. I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid and I loved it.
There are a few things in there that will go over kid’s heads. I watch it now and get different jokes from when I was a child but there is nothing in the film thats all that bad.
I would let them watch it.

You know it was in the late 80’s when that movie came out and by that time they had the looney tunes cartoons characters with cigars and the jugs of moonshine that had the letters XXX on it and they even had boy rabbits dressed up as a girl and kissing other boys. And now they have way much more perverted things on cable tv. Even commercials. So yeah I think it’s safe to say that movie is ok on my book.

Rat Race
March 3, 2010
|
IMDB rating: 6.30 Plot: A group of billionaires led by a Las Vegas casino owner (John Cleese) search for things to bet on. They decide to pull a group of six strangers together to race from Vegas to Silver City, New Mexico to retrieve $2 million hidden in a locker. First one there gets all of the money. The first team are two addled brothers (Seth Green and Vince Vieluf, who talks indecipherably because of a newly pierced tongue). When they cannot catch a plane, they plot to destroy an airport control tower in a very funny sequence. Their antics carry them into a hot air balloon chase that catches a cow with a dangling rope and into a monster truck competition. The second team is an estranged mother (Whoopi Goldberg) reunited with her daughter (Lanai Chapman), who is struggling to start a business. They face an insane squirrel-selling woman (Kathy Bates) and steal a rocket car scheduled for a land speed record attempt. A hated NFL referee (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) is stranded in the desert by an irate cabbie (Paul Rodriguez) and hijacks a busload of Lucille Ball look-alikes on the way to a convention. The Jewish family man (Jon Lovitz) on a family vacation joins the race without telling his wife (Kathy Najimy) why they are rushing across the country. When his daughter insists on stopping at a Barbie museum, it is without realization that it is the Klaus Barbie Nazi Museum. The escape from that location involves the theft of Hitler’s personal touring car and culminates with Lovitz having his tongue burned and accidentally crashing into a WWII Veteran’s convention. A narcoleptic Italian (Rowan Atkinson in his best Mr. Bean-like manner) gets a ride with an ambulance driver (Wayne Knight), who is carting a human heart for a transplant. Through various ineptitude, the heart ends up flying out of the truck’s window and the two have to recover it from a playful dog. The final race member (Breckin Meyer) is a straight-laced future lawyer who at first declines to participate in the race, but re-thinks his position after he meets a smart, beautiful woman (Amy Smart) who is flying a helicopter to New Mexico. He quickly finds out that she is unbalanced after she flies over her boy friend’s house and starts an attack on the boy friend when she sees him in the pool with an ex-girl friend. An air pursuit results in the crash of the helicopter. Dave Thomas also appears as Cleese’s humorless attorney. |
